Join Morris-Jumel Mansion and the Alexander Hamilton Awareness Society as we explore the life and legacy of Alexander Hamilton, who visited the Mansion at least once. Together, we will explore the many ways in which Hamilton impacted our everyday lives – an impact that was nearly forgotten prior to the hit play, Hamilton.
Among the subjects discussed, attendants will get an overview of:
Hamilton’s early life in the Caribbean
Alexander Hamilton as a military man
Alexander Hamilton’s wife, Elizabeth Schuyler
Alexander Hamilton and the creation and ratification of the US Constitution
