Extraordinary Hamilton Collection Auctioned on October 25th
Freeman’s Auction House of Philadelphia presented for online sale “The Alexander Hamilton Collection of John E. Herzog,” a single-owner collection of Hamilton materials. Collected patiently and thoughtfully by Herzog over sixty years, the collection includes numerous manuscripts, documents, and publications created by or associated with Founding Father Alexander Hamilton. Some of the manuscript items in this collection may have never been seen or examined by scholars since their creation in the 18th and early 19th century. This special auction celebrated the Tenth Anniversary of the Alexander Hamilton Awareness Society, founded on October 11, 2011. Browse this collection here:
